Automatic doors are becoming an extremely popular shop-front feature. With the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) now actively in force, access to shops and offices for everyone, whatever their limitations, needs to be catered for. This type of entrance is particularly suited to areas where there is likely to be heavy pedestrian traffic.

Automatic doors operate when the sensor's signal has been breached by someone approaching the door. They then close automatically when the signal is regained, although a fail-safe safety feature is triggered in the event of someone stopping in the doorway.

These doors are normally constructed using an aluminium box section profile which houses the laminated safety glazing. Their sleek design and efficient operation provide an extremely practical but modern solution to everyday access for all businesses.

The refurbishment of this ground floor building included the installation of automatic doors with a radar control entry system, in order to allow remote monitoring from reception for total security.
